Private lesson tuition is due monthly on the FIRST lesson of each month. The academy accepts tuition payments by cash, check, Zelle, or credit card. (A 3% charge will apply to all credit card payments). Checks should be made payable to Vivo Music and Arts Academy. For Zelle payment, use VivoMusicArt@gmail.com as recipient. Instruments and materials

Art class: A class will open at a minimum of 4 students. Students will prepare their own art materials.

Snow/Inclement Weather Policy

The Academy will follow its own schedule of closing for inclement weather. Announcement of closing will be
updated on The Academy’s website, announced via email immediately in the event of inclement weather.
The Academy guarantees one make-up lesson if lessons are canceled due to weather conditions. No
refunds will be issued.

Absences / Makeup Lessons

Notification of at least twenty four (24) hours in advance entitles the student to a makeup lesson. No
show is considered a forfeited lesson. No makeup lesson will be granted for lack of practice reason or
forgetting of lesson time. For art classes, all missed classes can be made up within 2 weeks at any of our
available classes.

Teacher Absences (for music lesson)

Should a teacher miss a lesson due to any circumstance, that lesson will be made up at a time which is
mutually convenient with the student and teacher. Teachers may arrange for a substitute teacher. The
Academy will attempt to notify students prior to substitute lessons. No refunds will be issued.

Arrival and Pick up time

Students must arrive on time for class. Students arriving late to a lesson are only entitled to the time
remaining in the lesson slot. All students must be picked up promptly. Faculty and staff are not responsible
for supervising children outside of designated teaching time. Once a student enters The Music Academy,
he/she must remain inside The Academy until his/her transportation arrives.

Termination of lesson

If a student and/or parent should decide to terminate lessons at any given time during the year, the academy

All students and their siblings are expected to be on their best behavior while at The Academy. They are
expected to treat each other, parents, faculty, and staff with respect and to refrain from playing in the halls or
bathrooms, running, and/or being loud enough as to interrupt lessons and the Academy business. Students
who are disruptive will be reprimanded, and parents will be notified. We reserve the right to terminate,
without refund, the lessons of any student who is disruptive to others at The Academy.

Practice and parental support

A parent may observe lessons at the instructor’s discretion. Students whose parents take an interest in their
child’s progress tend to be more enthusiastic and productive. With commitment to learn music comes the
decision to practice on a daily basis. Practice time will vary according to teacher assignments and student
level. Younger children especially need help with their practicing. Our instructors will always be there for your
child for any reason. We would appreciate your feedback with your instructor.
