Private Lessons
One-on-one lessons are the heart of our program. Vivo Music and Arts Academy offers private instruction of voice and various musical instruments including piano, guitar, woodwind, brass, percussion and strings.
Strategically located in the heart of south Forsyth county surrounded by multiple public schools, one of our goals is to partner with local schools band programs not only to reinforce techniques and fundamentals, but also to excel in their instruments and become a better performer.
A majority of our teachers belong to various professional organizations and actively enroll students for assessments, festivals and competitions including GMEA all-state, GMTA competitions, ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) exams, RCM (Royal Conservatory of Music), NFMC Federation Festivals and more. In addition, there are various opportunities for students to experience performing in public settings such as malls, formal recital halls, senior living homes, and local events.
Group Classes
Group lessons for Beginners
Provide an introduction to the instrument and prepare them for private lessons. Playing music in group lessons encourages positive competition. Students can learn from and encourage each other to enhance their musical skills. Learning in groups leads to improvement in creativity, techniques, performance, and musicianship.

Practice and Parental Support
Parents are allowed and often encouraged to observe lessons at the teacher’s discretion. Students whose parents take an interest in their child’s progress tend to be more enthusiastic and productive. With commitment to learn music comes the decision to practice on a daily basis. Practice time will vary according to teacher assignments and student level. Younger children in particular will need assistance in their practice, even in just the form of encouragement. Feedback regarding instructors is greatly appreciated.
