Summer Piano Camp 2022

Theme: At the Movies

Dates: June 13-17, 2022

Time: 9:30 AM- 3:00 PM

Cost: $300

Skill level: Late beginner to late intermediate pianists

Come join us for a week of comprehensive training and fun activities to celebrate the love of music making and piano playing. Through ensemble playing and group activities such as theory games, drumming, ear training, and singing, students will develop the skills and tools to become a well-rounded musician. This year our lead instructor Ms. Patti will take us to explore film music and dig into topics such as the history and the structure film music.

Most students spend their music time in private lessons and practice, and they do not have many opportunities to work with other musicians. In this camp, students will build fundamentals and enrich their performance skills while having a great time making music with friends. Additionally, students will learn to be better listeners, develop teamwork, be inspired by others, and reinforce what they learned in private lessons.

This camp is designed for late beginner to late intermediate pianists and students will be grouped by age and skill level.

Typical day at the piano camp:

-rhythm with percussive instruments such as boomwhackers and bells,
-piano ensemble playing,
-musical games,
-music theory,
-music history,
-ear training,
and much more.

We will have a chamber performance at the last day of camp and parents are invited to watch them play.
